Resolution Studies

Resolution of SIDIS variables z,pT as well as kaon efficiency and purity in bins of x and Q2 for the highest energy option. The data is integrated over 0.2<z<1.0. In parts of the phase space where Double Angle (DA) or Jacquet-Blondel (JB) method perform better than the electron method, the resolutions using those methods are shown additionally. For x,Q2 resolutions, refer to the Athena proposal.

Acceptance Studies

The following figures show the distribution of the charged meson indicated on the label in eta, lab momentum space for different bins in x,Q2 with the z selection indicated on the figure. PID ranges are indicated. Different datasets are color coded and the z axis is scaled in each panel separately.

Comparison between Fast and Full Simulations (added 12/9)

All SIDIS studies presented in the proposal were made with fast simulations due to time constraints. However, extensive validation of the fast simulations with full simulations was done. Here we show some exemplary comparison between fast and full simulations for SIDIS quantities. All shapes are reproduced well. NB: Each panel is normalized based on the maximum in the plot which leads sometimes to shifts if histograms contain spikes from highly weighted events.
