RACF AFS Setup

From Daya Bay

As set up by John McCarthy on 30 March 2010:

  • /afs/rhic.bnl.gov/dayabay/software/dailies - 20GB quota.
  • /afs/rhic.bnl.gov/dayabay/software/external - 5GB quota (used for numbered releases, NuWa-x.y.z)
    • The build/ and tarFiles/ subdirectories under external/ are handled here
  • /afs/rhic.bnl.gov/dayabay/software/trunk - 20GB quota (contains separate opt/ and dbg/ subdirectories, each with a external/)
  1. OptimizedNuWaTrunkStatus under opt/ (11aug2011: rarely updated now that daily builds are available)
  2. DebugNuWaTrunkStatus under dbg/ (11aug2011: rarely updated now that daily builds are available)
  • /afs/rhic.bnl.gov/dayabay/software/releases - 5GB quota (increased to 6GB after 3.0.0)
The small quota on releases is OK, each release will be its own volume with 8GB quota. For a new release, McCarthy needs the name (directory name or path ex. /afs/rhic.bnl.gov/dayabay/releases/NuWa-1.2.3), the size you want it to be (start with 8GB and see how that goes).
