Proposed configuration overview

Yellow Upstream

  1. Minimum modification w.r.t. the Run9 configuration
  2. The only new thing should be the new preamps
  3. Plan to install BNL long-pin 2mm detectors in all six ports
  4. DAQ is outside the tunnel

Yellow Downstream

  1. A set of identical BNL long-pin 2mm detectors will be installed in four 45 degree ports
  2. BNL 1mm detectors in 90 degree ports if available before Dec 15th
  3. Hamamatsu 4mm detectors in 90 degree ports if above not available
  4. DAQ is inside the tunnel

Blue 1, Upstream

  1. Minimum modification w.r.t. the Run9 configuration
  2. The only new thing should be the new preamps
  3. Install BNL long-pin 2mm detectors in all six ports
  4. DAQ is outside the tunnel

Blue 2, Downstream

  1. Installed BNL short-pin 2mm detectors in the four 45 degree ports
  2. Installed Hamamatsu 4mm detectors in the two 90 degree ports
  3. DAQ is inside the tunnel

  • B1U: 6 BNL 'long' details
  • B2D: 4 BNL 'short' @ 45°, 2 Hamamatsu @ 90° details
  • Y1D: 4 BNL 'long' @ 45°, 2 Hamamatsu @ 90° details
  • Y2U: 6 BNL 'long' details

Targets

The vertical (V) and horizontal (H) targets come in single (1), double (2), and quadruple (4) thicknesses (roughly).

The are mounted at 6 positions on each ladder with thicknesses (1,2,4) as follows; details include ribbon measurements etc.:

The ribbons B1U-V-5 and Y1D-H-2 were made with the TRIUMF laser ablation process.

The table shows installed configuration; susequent info on target status indicated by superscripts:

a) 03.02.11 visual observation showed target is gone

b) 03.02.11 visual observation showed target is loose

c) 21.02.11 found gone in data runs

d) 21.02.11 found OK in data runs

e) 03.03.11 found gone in data run (Haixin)

f) 23.03.11 found gone (Haixin, using beam loss data)
